REZVANSHAHR

This city is located in a plain area, in the southwest coast of the Caspian sea and 63km far from rasht. Shafarood river flows to the Caspian sea from the northeast. Its climate is humid ‘Moderate Caspian’ which is a little cooler than in highland regions of talesh people speak gilaki and taleshi dialect and believe in shiism and suniism. Rezvanshahr township is composed of two district of central and parehsar.

Its economy depends on animal husbandry and agriculture. Rice, wheat, barley and and corn are among the most important agricultural products, planted traditionally and semi-industrially. Other common activites are gardening, apiculture or beekeeping, sericulture or the raising of silkworms, tobacco planting, coarse-weaving and ceramic production. Among the industries one can name the Iranian wood and factory (CHOKA) which is the most important wood factory in the middle east.

Dr. Dorostkar jungle park-visedar waterfall-tazeh abad & parehsar beach resorts – Espieh mazgat or white mosque dates back to 1000 years ago – veskeh and mianrood ancient cemeteries, poonel brick-bridge.

PILGRIMAGE & RELIGIOUS SITES:

Qarib bandeh shrine – seyyed sharif-al-Din & his mother seyyedeh banoo shrines – seyyed amir sultan Qarb bandeh shrine.
